In August 2024, the third annual Maryland Meetup for the Pete McDevitt Show welcomed a record-breaking crowd of over 70 guests. Many attendees arrived early on Thursday evening, gathering in smaller groups at popular Maryland restaurants to kick off the weekend with good food and company.

The festivities officially began on Friday afternoon at El Guapo, where guests gathered in the private basement celebration room. Complete with video games, ample seating, and outstanding Mexican cuisine, the space was buzzing with excitement. That evening, everyone made their way to Camden Yards to watch the Baltimore Orioles take on the Boston Red Sox. With club seats and an all-you-can-eat spread in the picnic area available for the first seven innings, the evening was a home run.

Saturday introduced the first-ever bowling challenge, with mixed teams competing for the top three spots. The competition was fueled by pizza, wings, beer, and plenty of beverages, making for an afternoon full of friendly rivalry. As evening approached, guests dressed up for the elegant cocktail party, which featured a brand-new addition: karaoke night. The karaoke was a crowd favorite, adding an extra layer of fun to the evening. A social media station was also set up to capture memories throughout the night. Guests enjoyed an impressive spread of food and beverages, along with a specialty cocktail crafted just for the occasion.

Sunday morning brought everyone back together for a champagne cocktail brunch at State Fare, where the air-conditioned dining room was a welcome relief from the August heat. The extensive menu offered something for everyone, providing the perfect end to a memorable weekend. The meetup wrapped up with a live broadcast, recapping the weekend’s highlights and celebrating the wonderful friendships formed.
